The synaesthetic Field, 2018

The transdisciplinary project The Synesthetic Field works with an interplay of elements from the fine arts and contemporary dance.
Resonances develop between bodies, objects, sound, and space. Grammars of the respective medium are investigated in terms of their potentials for transfer and translation into other media. Departing from the concept of synesthesia, which involves parallel or secondary cognitive experiences, the project examines the extent to which the visual can also be perceived physically.
This transfer will generate a performative embodiment of objects.

Die performative Installation arbeitet mit Elementen aus der bildenden Kunst und dem zeitgenössischen Tanz. Objekte, Sound und Raum werden dabei mit dem Körper in Beziehung gesetzt. In Anlehnung an den Begriff der Synästhesie, der ein „Mitempfinden“ oder „Zugleich Wahrnehmen“ bedeutet, soll ausgelotet werden inwiefern Visuelles auch physisch nachempfunden werden kann.
